WPPI 2010 was, by all accounts, a smashing success. With over 14,000 attendees, it marked the largest and most dynamic professional photographic trade show in U.S. history.
If you attended WPPI last year, however, this success had a down side – waiting in lines to get into platform classes. Over coffee, Triple Scoop Music and H&H Color Lab conceived of an idea to help solve this problem. “Create an online system that would allow WPPI attendees to make reservations to become “line jumpers” for platform classes”.
H&H and Triple Scoop Music, in collaboration with WPPI, created this system and it is available now for you to improve your WPPI 2011 experience by allowing you to spend less time waiting in line and more time at the show.
If you are registered for WPPI 2011, be sure to sign up to get your boarding pass at www.preboard.net that will allow you to show up for the platform classes just 20 minutes ahead of the class and go straight into the class room.
If you haven’t registered for WPPI and plan to go, this is a great reason to register now because space is still limited and time is running out!

What an amazing convention and trade show Imaging USA 2010 turned out to be. With over 10,000 attendees, they shattered their record. Everywhere you turned, you faced a sea of photographers, eager to learn and excited to get back to their studios to implement new ideas. This was VERY encouraging for everyone involved. We’re glad that our photo lab had a chance to be a part of this.
We’d love to hear from you! What was your favorite part of the convention? Who was your favorite speaker? Will you go back next year?
It was exciting to follow the happenings on Twitter and Facebook, too. Everyone was sharing ideas, opinions, and opportunities via these social networking sites. Never before have I seen a convention in which feedback was available as it happened, instead of after-the-fact.
Below are some images, showing the numbers of attendees in the classes:
This crowd was waiting to see Frank Doninno.

Gayletta packed the house, too.

Scott and Adina spoke to a standing-room-only crowd.

Whether you made it to Imaging USA this year or not, we hope to see you at another convention real soon. It’s always fun to see you in person!

November is here, and so is another busy month for H&H Color Lab! We hope to see you at one of the MANY activities going on this month. Let’s get right to it:

Iowa’s fall event is coming up this weekend, and H&H is proud to sponsor speaker Kirk Voclain!

Kirk will spend this time showing you how to be “cool” in the eyes of high school seniors. He’ll even show you how to add some “coolness factors” without spending a lot of money.
With audience participation, slides, and some great door prizes, this is a must-see program. Our Michelle Gabbert will be there, so make sure you stop by the booth to say “Hi.” She will have some of Kirk’s posing guides available, but one will be set aside for one of our blog readers.
The first convention attendee to find Michelle and tell her you read about it on the blog will receive this posing guide for free! These always go fast, but this will give YOU a chance to get it.
