WPPI 2013, the largest professional photographer education and trade show event in the US, just wrapped up in Las Vegas. H&H Color Lab had a large presence at WPPI, sponsoring 4 speakers and building our largest trade show floor presence yet.
To cover this event, H&H started sending staff out to Las Vegas the Thursday before the trade show opened. Sharon arrived on Thursday to support the PLUS Classes and WPPI University – two days of technical and business education for the emerging professional photographer. H&H customer and Brooks Institute professor Tim Meyer spoke on studio lighting and posing to a full house. On Friday and Saturday, H&H’s trade show booth setup crew arrived and began setting up H&H’s sports and school booth and H&H’s portrait wedding booth.
Sunday marked the arrival of the rest of H&H’s customer service staff along with our customers Leigh LeForest and Jeff Edwards, who were so helpful in teaching professional photographers about the school and sports business. WPPI Launch Pad started with a flood of people Sunday afternoon where H&H showed a handful of our latest products – Curved metal prints, Eclectic Fashion Album covers, our latest jewelry, fine art torn edge prints, and prototypes of new mini album trios (stay tuned!). Attendees were very excited that H&H was continuing to expand our album and jewelry offering and were very surprised how different, beautiful and aggressively priced the framed fine art torn edge prints are.
Kirk Voclain, Blair Phillips, Tim Meyer, and Travis Gugelman all spoke to enthusiastic crowds at WPPI and met with customers in the H&H booth at the expo. We deeply appreciate the leadership these working professional photographers show in our industry both in business, and in life.

WPPI expo on Monday was very busy photographers from all around the US, Canada, and around the world. Interest in Albums, metal prints, canvas groupings, image blocks, cards, and H&H Color Lab’s broad range of photo specialty products definitely sparked great discussions about how to use these products that H&H designed to differentiate the professional photographers’ product offering. It was great to be able to say think you to our existing customers and to get to know new customers!
H&H customer Ariana Falerni was in the H&H booth Tuesday demonstrating the Shoot and Sell iPad application that many professional photographers are using to increase their sales of wall portraits and canvas wall groupings.
We were very pleased with WPPI and will definitely be back for WPPI 2014. The WPPI organization seems to be listening and investing in the show to keep it fresh and relevant in our unique industry. We look forward to being a part of it!
