The customer service department here at H&H’s photo lab used to play Secret Santa within the department, surprising each other with little gifts and treats during the holidays. For the past several years, however, we’ve been “giving back” instead. We gather the money that would have been spent on this activity and put it toward a charitable cause, with H&H matching the amount.
This year, we decided to make blankets for Project Warmth again. It was such a big hit last year that we wanted to repeat it. Each customer service representative took home enough fleece to tie two blankets, and some did extras this year! All together, we took more than 30 of these very warm blankets to help Project Warmth, which provides coats and blankets to make things more comfortable for those in need in the Kansas City area.
We enjoy working on these blankets in the evenings, with our families, and it’s good to know that it’s making a difference for someone who would otherwise be cold. These were dropped off late last week, and with the temperatures in the single digits this week, the timing couldn’t have been better.
WOW! What a great way to give back. Thank you for taking the time.
