Samantha Hamlin (Still) H&H – Production Representative for Collages
Introducing Samantha Hamlin, a member of our Collages Team! Samantha works as Production Representative for Collages–part of the H&H family of companies.
Collages is an online sales provider with an innovative platform of digital image sharing and product distribution .
H&H purchased this portrait/wedding web-platform company several years ago, giving our customers new ways to sell and share. The powerful synergy of both companies working together benefit photographers through access to innovative digital sharing, proofing, image galleries and e-product options, plus product fulfillment through H&H.
Q: What is it about your job that you love?
A: I really like being able to help our customers. I like being able to come up with a plan for a project for a customer or any special needs they have, and guide them through the process–so that the end product is exactly what they wanted. I like the responsibility that comes with this job–I process all of the album orders that come through Collages, help customers with custom workflow, plus perform quality control for our album orders. I also process and ship presentation and marketing material orders.
Q: What did you do prior to coming to H&H?
A: I worked as a receptionist for a not-for-profit company. I enjoyed being part of a team–it helped prepare me for the position at H&H.
Q: What are some advantages to working within the lab, for Collages?
A: When a customer has a question or concern about their album orders, I have enough production background knowledge, that I can usually help them. I can also go upstairs to production, because I know a lot of team members, and talk the project through with one of them to make sure the order is processed just like I need it to be. It really helps that H&H and Collages are in the same facility to see the manufacturing process firsthand.
Q: What do you like about Collages?
A: I feel really enthusiastic about it. We are a close team, and work well together. We have some beautiful new products like our Mosaic Covers for our online galleries, and I feel like we are growing quickly. We also have some great speakers that are fans of our product and promote it well.
Q: Tell me a little about your hobbies and family?
A: My biggest news is that I recently got married! We live in Blue Springs. We love taking our dogs to the park and being outside with them. We are also huge movie fans. We love everything from old school Ninja Turtles and Star Wars to The Lord of the Rings and comedies of all kinds. We have a very large DVD collection!
