January 2010 PPA Magazine Highlights Two H&H Customers
We were pleased to see the names of two good friends and customers featured in the January, 2010, Professional Photographer.
Scott and Adina Hayne, Scott Hayne Photography, Norfolk, Virginia, are featured in TWO articles no less! Page 29’s Profit Center piece features answers to four significant questions about their studio’s success in the present business environment.
A second major article titled “Sink or Swim” appears on pages 98 to 102 and highlights their meteoric career in the wedding and portrait business. At a time when many studios are struggling with surviving, Scott and Adina are flourishing! A good read for the New Year!
And for those seeking a fresh look for a new decade, don’t overlook “Show Big, Sell Big” on page 26 of this same issue. Gayletta Tompkins, Gayletta’s Photographic Studio & Gallery, Nederland, Texas, has been a close friend and customer of H&H for eighteen years. Gayletta has overcome life challenges that would make most throw in the towel. But she’s always shown an amazing ability to connect with her customers and keep them coming through her doors. And you’ll note in the article that Gayletta credits our good friend and studio designer, Jerry Bryan, as her source for her studio makeover.
Congratulations Scott, Adina, Gayletta, and Jerry for worthy mention in this excellent edition of the Professional Photographer!
We were saddened to learn of the passing of two long term industry friends and customers during the month of December. Both fought long and valiant battles with cancer.Eustace Breaux, Photography by Eustace, Thibidoux, LA, was a good and faithful customer for 23 years, specializing in seniors and school portraits. He was always a joy to work with and we will miss his distinctive voice and laughter. He is survived by wife Cecilia and son Garlan, both of whom have worked alongside Eustace for many years in his studio. He was a fine Southern gentleman and will be missed greatly by everyone at H&H.
Don Hammond, Don Hammond Photography, St. Charles, MO, was a long term board member of the MOPPA and president during 1980. He served as President of the Heart of America PPA in 1989, and on many other professional photography organizations.
