Employee Highlight – Carrie Pryor
We are proud of our employees and the pride and care they take producing your orders and want to share their stories with you.
Each month we highlight one of our employees and the department they work in! You will get a look behind-the-scenes here at the lab, and get to know one of our own a little bit better.
Carrie Pryor – H&H Small Prints
Our small prints department produces all photographic prints for the portrait side as well as school and sports. Carrie is an important part of this team. She trains all new employees for this department. Her attention to detail and professionalism shine through when speaking with her about the position. Her position is extremely important, as we currently run three shifts in this busy department!
Q: How long have you been with the lab?
A: I have been with H&H for about seven years. I started off in the School and Sports Department on the night shift but then shifted pretty quickly to a daytime position in the Small Prints Department. I have been training employees for about a year now.
Q: Tell me more about the training position?
A: I like to be prepared, and training others to be good employees is something I really enjoy. Sometimes, I train brand new employees, and sometimes I train returning, seasonal employees with a refresher course. We constantly have changes in our process, so it’s important to keep staff trained and updated.
Q: What do you really enjoy about your job?
A: I love what I do. I like training people and showing them the different products and processes. No two days are the same. At first I was nervous, because I’m not really that outgoing, but I found that I really enjoyed training and was comfortable pretty quickly in the role.
Q: Tell me a little bit about your family and hobbies.
A: I have three kids and stay very busy with them. I have two boys and a girl. They are all involved in sports such as football, basketball, track and volleyball. I love to watch sports, so it works out well that my kids are really active. There are practices nearly 5 days a week and games most Saturdays, so they keep me plenty busy—which I like!
